Check Out Southwestern Illinois College's (SWIC) Nursing Program. Nursing Education courses are offered during the day, and clinical hours are scheduled in the day, evenings and weekends. The program can be completed in four semesters including one summer. It is recommended that if employed, students complete non-NE pre-fix courses prior to entrance into the program.

Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) Offers Free Adult Education Classes. Adult Education offers instruction and programs for adults 16 years or older who are not enrolled (or required to be enrolled) in secondary school; do not have a secondary diploma (or its recognized equivalent GED/HSE credential); would like to earn their High School Equivalency Certificate (formerly GED); interested in earning a certificate in a trade or vocational program; or are unable to speak, read or write the English language. Classes and services are offered at the Belleville, Sam Wolf Granite City and Red Bud campuses; the East St. Louis Higher Education Center; many extension centers throughout the district; and online. All classes are free.

SMilesTV is now taking SMiles Around the World. Meet Olutosin Oladosu (Tosin), who turns "Trash into Treasure." She sets the pace for kindness and love. Tosin was once abused by her husband and abused in childhood by poverty, became empowered by using her talents and gifts as an artist to teach other women how to care for themselves. She raised enough money to build the Star of Hope Transformation Center, a Center which offers educational programs training for businesses, sewing, tailoring, soap making and more. Tosin provides young girls with the skills needed to assist them in becoming self sufficient; thereby giving the girls the wherewithal to protect themselves from sex trafficking.
